Update on Cooper is that he just doesn't want to come out! I'm 2 days overdue, and went to the Dr. yesterday. Everything is perfect, so they're making us wait another week to see if he comes on his own. If he's not here by Thursday, Feb 3, he's coming out!! Induction is scheduled for that evening, so he probably won't be here until Friday. In a way, this is good, because we can sort of plan a little bit. Also, the doctor on call on Friday is the one I've hoped to get for the delivery. Guess that's our silver lining for having to wait so long for the boy to get here.
So far, he's measuring 8lbs on the ultrasound and I'm hoping that is a little overshot, because over the next few days, he's still going to be gaining some weight. Monday I go in for a non-stress test, where I basically get strapped to some heartrate monitor and they watch for changes in his heartrate with activity. Since he still wiggles and kicks pretty much all the time, surely this will be fine. Just gives me something to do while I wait for him to get here.
Maternity leave started on Thursday, mostly because I just couldn't take peoples' comments at work anymore. On Wednesday, when asked "When's that baby due?" and the reply was "Tomorrow", I got some shocked faces and stupid comments. I can't imagine if I went to work in 2 days (Monday) and the reply would be "5 days ago" what reactions I would get. People need to keep their comments to themselves.
Next post will include pics of Mr. Cooper. Can not wait!!!

Snow Day!
There was quite a bit of snow on the ground when we went to bed last night, but this is what we woke up to this morning....

Bring on the snow!
We've got our battery-powered lanterns, candles, bucket 'o salt-mix, and pile of firewood all ready for tonight/tomorrow. They're predicting about 3-5" of snow, followed by a lovely almost 1/2" of ice to top it off and make everything look pretty. I did brave it to the grocery store after work tonight, which everyone was saying was horrible, but I must have been in a bubble, because I didn't notice any difference from the typical Sunday shoppers. No bare shelves and I got a front parking spot without using the "expectant mother" parking. I wanted to make sure we had SOME snacks in case the lights do happen to go out.
I am pretty excited to have an unplanned day off of work tomorrow. I've pretty much decided I'm not going in, for the sake of having made it to almost 38 weeks pregnant (Thursday) without getting hit by a silly GA driver. No need to chance it in the ice/snow....more time for nesting!! The nesting continues tonight with some baking. Looks like yummy cinnamon streusel muffins are the winner. Can't wait to eat 'em!
Here's to hoping Cooper doesn't decide to come on out over the next few days....or Corey may be more involved in the delivery than he or I would really like :)

Merry Christmas (eve)!
So, since we have just 5 weeks until baby Cooper is due, I figured I may as well start one of these to try to keep everyone that we don't get to talk to very often updated on things. Today, I'm trying to enjoy my last day of my "weekend", since I have to work tomorrow. I only have to work 4 hours, and the Holiday pay makes it worth it, but it's still Christmas and I'm not looking forward to it.
Yesterday, we took the dogs to get groomed one last time before the baby comes, and they each made us a Christmas present!!
Corey and I both thought these were super cute and now they're on the tree!
Corey is probably thinking that I'm crazy, but the nesting instinct is in full swing! The house gets swept and dusted almost daily, and I think I may have done 3-4 loads of laundry yesterday, along with baking some yummy treats from scratch. I have a very hard time sitting still. Oh, and can't forget that we installed the carseat, and tried to put the finishing touches on Coop's room. Almost done! Just waiting for some cute wall hangings that are taking FOREVER to come into the store!

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! Can't wait to watch A Christmas Story today!
